Yay!

Just a quick one tonight, I’m a little tired. Weigh day today and I just can’t believe it 8 whole pounds down, so that leaves me at 207. I’m absolutely ecstatic. I don’t expect to maintain this level of weight loss nor do I want to(I need my skin to catch up), but it really just gave me the boost I needed to go on again for another week. The strictness of this first cycle has totally paid off. Bring on next week………………..

Very cool! 8 is wonderful!! Good for you! What type of program are you doing? I used to do BFL. Since then I’ve had a few heart attacks, and a host of other medical issues. I think most of em stems from my Type 1 Diabetes?! Still, before my MI’s I was obsessed with the gym and miss what I accomplished before. I have to modify, but I’m working on it! Keep on keepin’ on annd thanks for your inspiration!

I’m doing The 17 Day Diet, actually they said on The Doctors it’s great to regulate diabetes, but it is tough, especially if you binge eat the way I do(used to anyway). I’m not going to the gym but have started some cardio at home, and once I have some figures down on the scales I will get a little more serious about working out. Just start and if you quit start again, stop thinking, that’s my new philosophy! Good luck.

A nice whoosh of weight loss always feels so good, and provides some decent lasting motivation. 🙂 I’ll probably find the answer as I peruse other posts of yours – but what program are you using?

Nice! 8 pounds is huge. Good thing you’re keeping a realistic view of the future, too.

great job! Eight pounds down! I agree with what you say about not maintaining the rate of loss. I have always worried about excess skin as I lose weight!

My friends have said “what’s the big deal”, they think if i look good in clothes I’ll be happy, but I personally think that if I ultimately want to maintain my weight loss, then I’ll have to be able to look in the mirror and feel good. Experts say a 1 or 2 pound weekly loss is the way to maintain healthy, stretchy skin. I’m also exfoliating regularly and using skin tightening cream, but the skin still couldn’t keep up with this rate of loss!
